Womag Features V-Day Event

Worcester Magazine recently featured us in their latest article on vegan dining, Veganism is for Lovers. Here’s the text:

“Have you heard of Burnside Fountain’s pop-up restaurant events? Show your sweetie how in the know you are by picking up two tickets to this all-vegan pre-Valentine’s Day underground restaurant on Sunday, February 13. Tickets are $25 and by reservation only. Hush, hush, the location will only be revealed to confirmed guests. email worcesterpopup@gmail.com to save your seat.

Burnside Fountain is the restaurant equivalent of a flash mob. It’s a fine-dining establishment that vanishes when the night is done. This weekend will be its second pop-up event. If the Harvest event was any indication, this Valentine’s dinner is going be impressive. What can be more romantic than a mysterious restaurant that only exists for one night?

At Burnside you can expect a three-course, fixed-menu meal that fuses American comfort food with exotic Asian flavors. The first course is Philly spring rolls served aside a wedge salad, followed by a southern-baked veg. chicken entrée with a side of wasabi-infused potatoes covered with brown miso gravy. For desert, a raspberry mochi (Japanese sweet rice balls) with Thai peanut sauce will be served. Expect all the amenities of a fine-dining experience.  Dress appropriately.

Hands down, this is the classiest way that vegan people of distinction will spend the night before Valentine’s Day in Worcester. Get your reservation in quickly. There is limited space and when it’s full, it’s full. And yes, Burnside Fountain is the high-society name for the turtle-boy statue.”
